But what exactly it is Hava Nagila?
Regardless of religiousness or not,
Hava Nagila has become
a Jewish anthem. All began with a
12-year-old boy, born in Jerusalem,
son of a Rabbi Nahum composed
the lyric as a homework assignment
his name was Moshe Nathanson
1899-1981. HAVA NAGILA was inspired
based
on Psalm 118, verse 24 “zeh hayom
asah Ashen nagila ve nishmecha bo”.
Translation from Hebrew to English:
“This is the day the Lord has made;
let us rejoice and be glad in it”.
